The project addresses the constraints that may be faced by governments in handling illegal and unsustainable logging, and over five years seeks to build the capacity of non-state actors, which include local communities, civil society organisations, indigenous peoples, the public and the private sector, to engage more effectively with the government in promoting good forest governance.
The project is funded by the European Union and led by BirdLife International.
The Malaysian Nature Society is the implementation agency for Malaysia.
